Free Caxton St Wi-Fi to keep people connected

19 July, 2016

“Cr Peter Matic has today announced a new investment to build our economy, with plans to expand Council’s free WiFi network to Caxton Street.

“Cr Matic said this commitment would keep Brisbane’s digital economy on the right track, plugging suburban economies in to Council’s free Wi-Fi network over the next four years.

“Caxton Street is an important economic hub in this local community and Team Quirk is revitalising the local economies, and encouraging more and more people to shop locally.

“A key recommendation from the economic development Brisbane 2022 Action Plan, was to support suburban retail precincts, just like Caxton Street.

“Free Wi-Fi is already available at more than 20 outdoor locations including Queen St Mall, Southbank Parklands, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, King George Square and New Farm Park, as well as all 33 of Council’s public libraries and across the entire CityCat fleet.”
