Valley Fiesta Full Line Up Announced

25 July, 2014

Lord Mayor Graham Quirk has announced indie bands The Preatures and The Creases as the final line-up additions to an already jam-packed Valley Fiesta 2014 program.

The Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said live music would continue to be the main focus at Valley Fiesta on 23 and 24 August, with the 2014 line-up one of the biggest yet.

“The addition of The Preatures and The Creases will delight local music fans, with both acts due to appear at the Splendour in The Grass music festival this weekend,” Cr Quirk said.

“The Preatures and The Creases will join headliners Dan Sultan, Allday, Motez, Remi, Safia, and many more.”

Cr Quirk said this year’s Valley Fiesta will feature a new daytime program in addition to the huge music line-up, giving Fiesta-goers the chance to shop, swap, eat, drink and explore as the precinct comes alive like never before.

“This year the Chinatown Mall will play host to the Chinatown Chow Down, which will offer four different banquet sittings so revellers can enjoy some of the Valley’s best cuisine,” he said.

“The Chinatown Mall will then be converted into Brisbane’s Biggest Outdoor Karaoke Bar as the sun goes down on Saturday night, featuring a live ‘Rockaoke’ band and roaming street performers.

“The Sunday program will feature the QMUSIC QLD Music Awards Showcase in the Valley Mall with live performances from home-grown artists, while the Chinatown Mall will host a fabulous afternoon of music as ‘Sunday as One’ returns for the second year in a row.”

Council presents the 2014 Valley Fiesta as part of a year-long activation program promoting the Valley precinct as a vibrant and safe cultural and entertainment destination.
