Bicentennial Bikeway – pedestrian and cyclist detour information
As part of our commitment to improve public and active transport solutions, Brisbane City Council
is undertaking three important projects along the Bicentennial Bikeway in the coming months.
 Bicentennial Bikeway Stage 4 Upgrade – Bus stop west of Regatta ferry terminal to Land
Street tunnel
 Western Creek Bridge Replacement – Western Creek, Milton
 Milton Ferry Terminal – Park Road, Milton
These works will result in improved facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, and provide a new ferry
terminal for residents and commuters in the area. Council will endeavour to minimise impacts on
all users of the Bicentennial Bikeway wherever possible.
Pedestrian detours
For safety reasons, sections of the bikeway will be closed to pedestrians during these works.
Two pedestrian detours will be in place.
Detour 1 Booth Street to Cribb Street June 2014 ‐ September 2014 (expected)
Detour 2 Booth Street to Lang Parade September 2014 ‐ Mid‐2015 (expected)
See over page for detour map.
Access for cyclists will be maintained at all times between Lang Parade and Cribb Street.
Access for cyclists will be maintained from 5am to 8pm between Booth Street and Lang Parade.
This section of the Bicentennial Bikeway will be closed to all cyclists and pedestrians from 8pm to
5am daily.
The Graham Street stairs and ramp are also expected to be closed to pedestrians and cyclists from
June to September 2014.
Please see onsite signage for up‐to‐date detour information.
